One woman walking beside another
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2
This is not another program to work through. It is a quiet room to be seen in, and a slower way of walking with God, where transformation is received rather than achieved.
A gentle first call. No pressure. No pitch.
The quiet thoughts nobody sees
“I know what to do. I just cannot make myself do it.”
“I have studied Scripture for years. Why am I still stuck?”
“I do not need more information. I need someone to walk with me.”
“The behavior is not the real issue. But I cannot reach what is.”
Friend, if you found yourself nodding along, I want you to hear something before anything else. Nothing is wrong with you, and there is no condemnation here.
You have prayed sincere prayers and studied the Word. You may have read the books, taken the courses, and still find yourself circling back to the same patterns, wondering why nothing seems to change at the root. What I have learned in more than thirty years of walking with women through these places is simple. The trying harder never failed because of you. It failed because behavior change alone cannot reach the beliefs underneath the behavior.
Sometimes what is needed is not another program. It is another person, gently sitting with you while God does the work only God can do.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Romans 12 : 2Scripture does not tell us to try harder. It tells us to be transformed, and it tells us exactly where that transformation begins. In the mind. And often, at the depth we most need, it begins in the quiet company of someone who has walked ahead of us.
What our time together is, and is not
Most coaching is built to help you achieve something. This is built to help you receive something. The distinction sounds small, but it shapes everything, including how we spend our sessions and what changes as a result.
What this is
- A sacred noticing space where truth replaces striving
- Spirit-led diagnostic coaching, not curriculum delivery
- Companionship for the woman who has known God a long time and is ready for something deeper than behavior change
- Gentle, unhurried work at the level of beliefs, identity, and the voice you have been listening to
- A rhythm of noticing, naming, and blessing what God is already doing in you
What this is not
- Behavior modification or accountability coaching
- A diet, weight-loss, or body-fixing program
- Motivational or hype-based work
- A curriculum you march through on a timeline
- Therapy, though it can complement therapy beautifully
Six gentle movements, in every session
Every session, whether it is your first or your twelfth, follows the same rhythm. The structure holds you. The lens changes each week to meet what God is bringing forward in you.
-
Gentle arrival
We begin by simply being present with one another. No agenda, no jumping in. Just a moment to arrive.
-
Reflective review
We look back at the week together, noticing movement rather than measuring outcomes. Progress is not performance.
-
Discern the focus
We listen for what God is drawing forward. What you thought we would discuss and what actually needs attention are not always the same.
-
Together, we go underneath
Using the Revelation Within tools, we gently reveal the beliefs beneath the pattern and bring them into the light of Scripture.
-
Integration and naming
We name what shifted. Awareness precedes change, and naming makes the shift real enough to carry into the week.
-
Prayer and blessing
We close in prayer. Not as ritual, but as the anchor for what God has begun. You leave held, not homeworked.
Mind Renewal 90
Twelve individual sessions of sixty minutes each, held gently over roughly ninety days. This is the deepest way to walk with me one to one. The arc below is the shape of what we walk through together. Not a script, but a map of the terrain.
-
Orientation & Safety
The thought loop that shapes your life. Learning to notice without shame.
-
Identity Awareness
Where identity has quietly gotten twisted into performance.
-
Shame Diagnosis
Shame, stories, and the enemy’s script. The anchor session for what comes next.
-
God’s Gaze
Seeing yourself through God’s eyes instead of the imagined one you carry.
-
Inner Voice Discernment
From self-criticism to Spirit-led clarity. Whose voice have you been listening to?
-
Embodied Truth
Truth that changes how you actually think, feel, and live.
-
Name Exchange
Releasing the old labels and receiving the name God has always given you.
-
Peace as Practice
When shalom becomes your default rather than an occasional visitor.
-
Response Formation
The space between what happens and how you respond, made wide enough for God.
-
Receiving Love
Living loved in real time, in the very moments you used to strive.
-
Release
Freedom from lingering fear, shame, and the old identity ties.
-
Integration & Commissioning
Peace and joy as your new normal. Not an ending. A sending.
God Led Me… “After joining Revelation Within to take the Transforming Grace course in May of 2025, I was drawn to Heidi and her honesty. She has such a grasp of scripture and would lead us into His truth about our identity. I had recently re-committed my relationship to the Lord and felt led to ask Heidi if she would coach me privately. Even though it was not offered on the site, I felt the Lord encouraging me to ask. She was so happy to do this, and we began a several-month-long coaching relationship.
I felt safe sharing things with her about my past, my struggles with shame, and lies I had believed. Heidi offered guided writing exercises if I wanted that structure, but was always open to talk about what was on my heart. She would ask meaningful questions in a spirit of love and acceptance that got me to open up and ask myself if there was another way to think about it. Always, always letting the Spirit lead, Heidi helped me through some difficult times, and I have grown so much in the Lord because of our time together.
I would highly recommend Heidi if you are seeking some spiritual direction with a gifted leader one on one.”
In His Grace,
Michelle H.
Who this coaching is, and is not, for
This work is not for everyone, and that is a kindness. The clearer we can be about the fit, the more freely you can decide whether to reach out. There is no wrong answer here.
This is for you if
- You have known God a long time and still find yourself striving in ways you do not want to.
- You are done with programs that promise transformation and deliver another to-do list.
- You want a companion, not a curriculum.
- You are ready to gently examine the beliefs beneath the behavior, at the pace of real change.
- You are willing to receive rather than achieve.
- You want your work to be Christ-centered and Scripture-rooted at every step.
This is not for you if
- You are looking for a diet, a weight-loss plan, or a body-fixing program.
- You want a quick fix or a formula to follow.
- You want accountability calls or someone to hold you to a schedule.
- You are in acute mental health crisis and need clinical care.
- You are not open to the idea that transformation is a Spirit-led work.
Meet Heidi
I am Heidi Bylsma-Epperson, and I have spent more than thirty years in ministry, coaching, and teaching, walking alongside women in the very places they feel most stuck. I know the shame-striving-discouragement cycle from the inside, not from a textbook.
Revelation Within grew from a simple conviction. The struggle with our counterfeit comforts is rarely about the comfort itself. Beneath the cycles of striving are deeper beliefs about worth, identity, and acceptance, and no amount of trying harder can touch those. Only the renewing of the mind can, which is exactly what God invites us into in Romans 12:2.
What I bring to 1:1 work is not expertise standing above you. What I bring is thirty years of learning to sit gently with a woman while God does what only God can do. Women in our community have described the space I hold as a reflection of God’s deep tenderness and love, and that is the honor of my life.
The goal here has never been perfect behavior. The goal is peace. Shalom.
Begin with a conversation
Before any coaching begins, we talk. A gentle first conversation to understand where you are, what you are longing for, and whether this work is a fit. No pressure. No pitch. Just a conversation between two women, one of whom happens to have walked this road for a very long time.
A quiet, unhurried conversation
Roughly thirty minutes. We talk about where you are, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping for. Together we discern whether Mind Renewal 90 is the right shape, whether a shorter engagement fits better, or whether another path is the wiser next step.
Reach out to schedule
Pricing and program details are discussed on the call, so we can talk through what is right for you.
Things you may be wondering
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching and therapy are different callings, and both are good. Therapy is often the wiser first step for acute mental health concerns, trauma processing, or clinical care. Coaching walks with you in the ordinary work of renewing your mind, growing in identity, and learning to walk with God. Many of the women I have coached have a therapist too. The two can work beautifully alongside one another.
How long does Mind Renewal 90 actually take?
Twelve sessions over roughly ninety days is the standard rhythm, though we can space sessions a little further apart when life calls for that. The point is not the calendar. The point is that transformation cannot be rushed, and this container gives it enough room to actually happen.
Do we meet in person or online?
Online, over Zoom. This makes the work accessible to women wherever you are, and it also means our sessions can happen in the comfort of your own quiet space, which many women find deepens the work.
What if I have already tried coaching or counseling and nothing stuck?
You are welcome here. Many of the women I work with come having tried a great deal already. What often surfaces is that the work went as deep as behavior, or as deep as insight, but did not reach the beliefs underneath. That is exactly where this work begins.
What if I am not sure I am ready?
That is a wise instinct to honor. A discovery call costs nothing but a little time, and often the conversation itself brings clarity about whether now is the right season. If it is not, I will say so gently and point you toward something that might be a better fit.
Do you work only with women?
Almost exclusively, yes. Occasionally I coach men when the fit is right, but the vast majority of my 1:1 work is with women of faith who are ready for mind renewal at depth.
What about pricing?
Pricing and program details are shared on the discovery call so we can talk about what is right for where you are. Some women begin with Mind Renewal 90 straight away. Others begin with a shorter engagement. The call is where we discern that together.
Tell me a little about where you are
Send a short note. Share as much or as little as feels right. I read every message myself and respond within two to three business days.
There is nothing you need to prepare, and nothing you need to have figured out. If you are here, that is enough of a beginning.
If you would rather not use a form, you are also welcome to use the contact page. Either reaches the same inbox.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11 : 28Whether you reach out today, next month, or not at all, may you know how gently God is holding you. And if a conversation feels right, I would be honored to meet you.
